Schedule
Aim

The pervasive threat posed by money laundering (ML)—the illegal process of converting illicit funds into assets that appear legitimate—and the financing of terrorism, which fuels harmful activities and undermines global security, underscores the critical need for professional awareness and competence. Criminals continually employ sophisticated methods to exploit financial systems, making it essential for professionals to understand the regulatory frameworks and practical measures designed to prevent such illicit activities.

This seminar addresses this need by enhancing the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes of personnel in accounting, legal, and related sectors, with a specific focus on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing. Participants will acquire the competence required to effectively implement the relevant legislative frameworks in Cyprus, in alignment with both mandatory European directives and national law, while also ensuring compliance with CySEC AML requirements.
