  3. Understand AML, CTF, and KYC obligations and their integration with finance and compliance departments.
  4. Gain knowledge of revenue streams in Forex companies (e.g., spreads, swaps, commissions) and related accounting treatments.
  5. Learn the structure of intercompany agreements, revenue sharing, and the importance of arm’s-length principles.
  6. Recognize key financial and trading metrics such as client equity, volume traded, active clients, and slippage impact.
  7. Understand reconciliation obligations under regulation (e.g., MiFID II) and how automation (like MRS) supports compliance.

Skills Objectives

  1. Interpret trading and financial data to verify the accuracy of revenue recognition and expense matching.
  2. Perform a high-level reconciliation of client funds and apply proper classification in financial statements.
  3. Review and assess the adequacy of internal controls related to client onboarding, safeguarding, and data integrity.
  4. Evaluate the accounting treatment of complex transactions including swaps, rollover fees, and leverage implications.
  5. Analyze financial statements of Forex companies with attention to KPIs specific to the industry.
  6. Navigate trading platforms and reporting tools to understand the source of data used in financial and audit processes.
